Celebrating The Present

Throughout the year, we host some of Dunwoody’s largest community events –  from our Annual Farm to Table & Silent Auction in the fall to the Lemonade Days Festival in the spring. The Dunwoody Farmhouse – officially the Cheek-Spruill house, which we own and maintain at the symbolic center of Dunwoody, is the site of Light Up Dunwoody signaling the start of the holiday season. And we celebrate our nation’s birthday every year with throngs of other happy residents lining Mount Vernon Road with our wagon in the Dunwoody 4th of July Parade.

Why do we sponsor or support these events? Why don’t we just stick to historic preservation, as our name suggests? Because we believe healthy communities are ones where people are connected not just to the past but also to one another through joyful community celebrations in the present. In addition, our events offer local businesses many opportunities to connect with the community through sponsorships. If you’re interested in exploring DPT event sponsorships, please click here.
