DPT Awarded FIPP Grant
In April 2017, Dunwoody Preservation Trust was awarded money from the city of Dunwoody’s FIPP grant program to continue refuribishment of the Donaldson-Bannister House and Gardens. DPT has spent more than $300,000 toward the project via funds raised at our annual Lemonade Days fundraiser. DPT plans to match the funds granted to continue rehabilitiation and renovation of the city-owned park, a circa 1870 property located at the corner of Chamblee-Dunwoody and Vermack Roads. The park will be open to the public upon completion.
The grant funds will go toward planned hardscape and landscape projects at the House, including lighting, walkways, completion of the gardens and more. Once completed, the Donaldson-Bannister House and Gardens will be open for your special events, weddings, reunions, parties,. Thank you Dunwoody for continuing to realize the importance of preserving our history and properties, and for working with us to make it happen.
